Top Ten Tuesday / Favorite Charactes to Love & Favorite Characters to Hate

Top Ten Tuesday is a book blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is a character freebie, so today I'll be talking about my favorite characters to love and my favorite characters to hate. Let's get to it!

My Favorite Characters to Love

Cinder - The Lunar Chronicles - Cinder is a lovable protagonist who is loyal to her friends and also part cyborg, so she's obviously on my list!

Celaena Sardothien - Throne of Glass - One word: BADASS. She's a teenage assassin who can kick ass while looking fierce while doing it.

Ead Duryan - The Priory of the Orange Tree - Ead is sent to secretly protect Queen Sabran, making her a hero in this fantasy novel. She also represents the LGBTQ community!

April May - An Absolutely Remarkable Thing - April is a quirky, interesting and fun young woman who is the center of a discovery of robots that have randomly shown up around Earth.

Hank Place - The Last Policeman - Hank is a police officer still working during the months leading up to a comet's expected arrival to Earth. It's complete anarchy, but he's still dedicated to solving a murder and taking down criminals.

My Favorite Characters to Hate

Maurice Swift - A Ladder to the Sky - Maurice is an unreliable narrator who lies, steals, and cheats to get what he wants. He's someone who I would absolutely despise in real life.

Simon - One of Us is Lying - Even though he does die (not a spoiler!), Simon runs a gossip blog that's a big pain in the behind so I generally consider him an ass.

Prince Cardan - The Cruel Prince - Prince Cardan is loved and then hated, then loved and hated again. If you've read The Wicked King, then you know what I'm talking about...

Callum Harker - This Savage Song - Callum is a cruel, terrible human being, so I'm definitely including him on this list.

Coriolanus Snow - The Hunger Games - Coriolanus Snow is the President of Panem in The Hunger Games trilogy, so enough said about why he's on this list.
