I Love Lists Friday / Favorite Classics

For today's I Love Lists Friday, I'll be discussing my favorite classics. I would say I've read quite a few but not a bunch of classics. So anyway, let's get to it.

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

I've talked about this book sooo much. I love the dark, gothic, suspenseful atmosphere and the almost poetic writing style. It's definitely in my top favorite books of all time.

Animal Farm by George Orwell

I admit, when I first read Animal Farm I actually got scared. I love Orwell's writing in general; there isn't a book of his I've read that I've disliked.

Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

Grapes of Wrath made me CRY. I'm pretty sure the last time I had cried like that was when Sirius died in Harry Potter. The novel makes a big statement about large corporations ruining the little man.

Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

I read Gone With the Wind to get it off my TBR and so I'd look like a well-read individual. I was surprised when I realized that I REALLY liked it!

Frankenstein by Mary Shelly

Frankenstein is a classic in horror, and I've loved it ever since reading it in high school.

Do you like classics? If so, what is/are your favorite(s)? Let me know in the comments!
