For today's I Love Lists Friday, I'm going to talk about my favorite book covers. This list only includes books that I've READ. There are plenty of books that I haven't read that have gorgeous covers! The list I'm showing today are the books that I automatically think of when the conversation steers toward beautiful book covers.
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I can't remember the last time I fangirled so hard over both the book covers and the actual story! These covers are SO STRIKING and beautiful. The paperbacks are really something to look at as well. Strange the Dreamer remains my top favorite cover... I could seriously spend hours staring at this cover.
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Krisoff
I love this series! It's one of the most creative books I've ever read. The picture of the covers doesn't do it justice. I could also spend hours staring at these books (because they're both beautiful and I get easily distracted).
Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel
These covers are striking and so pretty in person! While I haven't gotten around to reading the last installment, I loved the first two books. I think I'll reread the first two books then read the last one. While searching for images of the covers, I came across alternative covers... I'm unsure if these are the covers in other countries (I'm in the United States) or if the publisher re-released the series. Nonetheless, I like the new covers too!
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
Big Magic is about finding and expressing your creativity, and the book's cover is perfect for its content! I really enjoy how colorful and easy it is on the eyes.
Memory of Light by Francisco X. Stork
The Memory of Light is one of my favorite books, and I really love the cover. It's really striking how the girl made of little lights stilettos against the black background. It's really best to see this book in person.
